Tonight, Selah Sue gave a concert in Budapest, Hungary.
She told this afternoon that it was "(their) very last show".
OK.

But I can't believe this.
I can't believe that this show is dead.


I can't believe that this typical setlist [2010-2013] could die tonight.

And how long until I could take new pictures with the combo flower/hat/glasses on again ?

Will the second (real) batch of concerts give the same talented people on stage ?

Is it planned that the three bandeaux will be thrown to the fire ?

Will the fan be powered on again one day ?

If in 2013, Selah Sue has done new countries, done again lot of other ones, namely Argentina, Brazil, Bulgaria, Canada, Hungary, Japan, Lithuania, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Spain, Switzerland, Turkey, and U.S.A., look attentively at this list of countries again.
I did it again and again. You'll realize like me that...

France doesn't take part of this list.

Je n'ai assisté à aucun live de Selah Sue en 2013.
Question: est-ce qu'une année tout entière sans Selah Sue est envisageable ?
Réponse: je crains bien que non. Mentalement impossible.
C'est bien trop dur et frustrant de voir passer les dates, sans qu'aucune ne concerne la France.
Et même si un concert était prévu à Paris ce 10 août dernier, ce n'était que la retransmission d'un ancien concert sur écran géant... Fausse joie.


Et parce qu'en cherchant aussi un concert de Selah Sue à Paris, on tombera très vite sur la vérité.

No need of a manifesto from me to tell that your past things are forever in mind and that your present work and future concerts are more than waited.

More dubstep, more drum'n'bass, as you told you would. Hope it so much to hear that new vibes on stage... soon! But not only.
Ce songwriting a tellement d'emprise que je ne peux t'imaginer sans jouer de ta Cordoba sur scène.
Je ne peux t'imaginer non plus sans ces Yannick, Erik, Joachim, Jordi et autres personnes qui travaillent tout autour de toi because this whole team helps your music to be live, lived, loved and vibed, too.

Now more than 600 000 people around the world follow your acts. I wished that the new album would get a bit of success through the Chanel; I love GB but nobody knows Selah Sue there. Such a shame.
While Brazil or Columbia take part of these 600k fans. Like I do, and I'm so proud of it, today, one more time.

When I speak about Columbia, well, "it could (also) be a spoonful of coffee", so I'm just asking everyone in 2013: Selah Sue, what else ?

URGENT: Le grand écran pour Selah Sue !

De retour de petites vacances en famille qui font énormément de bien, je vous annonce cette nouvelle: Selah Sue sera dans toutes les salles de ciné... et pas plus tard que ce soir, ce mardi 26 février!

Vous l'aurez compris, il ne s'agit pas pour Sanne de tourner dans un film, même dans un petit rôle (du moins pour le moment), mais de jouer son propre rôle de chanteuse lors du Live Show Etam qui a lieu à Paris ce soir, et que l'on pourra suivre en direct sur internet... mais aussi dans quelques salles de cinéma de grandes villes de France!
Elle sera sur scène aux côtés de Lily Allen (qui signe son grand retour sur scène) et de M.I.A., modèle électro de notre chanteuse.

Et cette retransmission aura même pour particularité d'être en 3D.
Qui l'eût cru, Sanne Putseys en direct et en 3D sur les toiles de cinéma en 2013!

En tout cas, il fait bon ce soir d'être à la maison devant son ordi, bien au chaud, faute de pouvoir y assister à ce défilé. Rendez-vous à 21h00 sur ce lien !

Give Fans a Voice: Selah we Wrocławiu, by Kamila

En Pologne, de nombreuses âmes se sont ralliées à la cause Selah Sue, notamment depuis qu'une certaine publicité y fit connaître l'un des titres les plus puissants du premier album.
Parmi elles, vit à Brzeg Dolny l'une des plus ferventes admiratrices de S+S à ma connaissance.
Son prénom, Kamila. Et en cette période de Noël, elle a décidé de nous offrir un petit retour de son concert au Klub Eter de Wrocław, ce 13 décembre.
Je vous laisse découvrir ce texte rempli d'émotions, d'applaudissements et d'odeur de feutre noir...

Ah oui, comme ce blog est 200% fan, le contenu l'est aussi et ressemble à son auteur: si le polonais n'est pas votre langue natale, n'hésitez pas à choisir l'anglais avec le traducteur Google pour une transcription optimale!

         Po marcowym koncercie niecierpliwie czekałam na kolejną wizytę SELAH SUE w Polsce. Kiedy okazało się, że artystka jeszcze w tym roku zawita ponownie do Wrocławia, moja radość była nie do opisania! Błyskawiczna wizyta na Ticketpro, a potem to już tylko odliczanie.

         Wielki dzień nieuchronnie się zbliżał, a emocje rosły z dnia na dzień. Po ukazaniu się informacji, że po koncercie artystka będzie podpisywała płyty, domyślam się, że nie tylko mnie opanowało totalne szaleństwo!        
            

         Pobudka tego dnia była niezwykłą przyjemnością, choć na zewnątrz temperatura minusowa, to w sercu panował żar! Drzwi Eteru otwarto punktualnie o godzinie 19. Zaczął się wyścig z czasem i walka o jak najlepsze miejsce pod sceną! Godzinne oczekiwanie miało być poprzedzone supportem, z którego ostatecznie zrezygnowano. Zbliżała się godzina zero! Koło sceny można było już zauważyć muzyków.

         Niecałe 2 minuty po godzinie 20 z ciemności wyłoniła się jakże dobrze znana nam postać! Tłum oszalał! Gdy tylko zbliżyła się do mikrofonu, ludzie zamilkli w oczekiwaniu na pierwsze słowa, które padną z jej ust. Sanne przywitała zgromadzonych w klubie skromnym ‘Hi!’, na co ludzie zareagowali obłędnym wrzaskiem, a ona uśmiechnęła się tak, że już właściwie nie musiałaby nic więcej robić. :)                             

         Koncert otworzyło klimatyczne ‘Summertime’, na scenie tylko ona, gitara i muzycy ukryci w mroku. Jej głos w połączeniu ze znakomitą grą świateł i włączonym wentylatorem rozwiewającym jej włosy, przyprawiał o dreszcze! Odczucia niesamowite, tym bardziej że kolejny raz udało mi się być pod samiutką sceną. Widzieć na żywo wszystkie jej słodkie miny, wygibasy, to coś czego nie odda żadne nagranie!                                
           

         Selah Sue miała świetny kontakt z publicznością, która żywo reagowała na znane jej dźwięki! Na setliście nie mogło oczywiście zabraknąć ‘Raggamuffin’, gdzie przy słowach ‘In Vroswaf they want me, And I’m gonna be there!’ podniosła się wrzawa, a Selah z pełnym sobie wdziękiem i cudownym uśmiechem kontynuowała dobrze znany zgromadzonym w klubie kawałek. Akustyczne wersje poprzeplatane były z energetycznymi piosenkami w wykonaniu całego bandu. Solówki zapierały dech w piersiach! Mnie osobiście oczarował niesamowity Jordi Geuens, który na perkusji gra z taką łatwością, że odniosłam wrażenie iż mógłby to robić z zamkniętymi oczami. Oczywiście nie umniejszam reszcie zespołu, Erik i jego bass to niesamowity duet, Joachim wprowadzał piękny klimat dzięki klawiszom, a Yannick ze swoją gitarą z pełnym zaangażowaniem szalał na scenie! Nie zabrakło oczywiście wszystkim dobrze znanego ‘This World’, niezwykle emocjonalnego wykonania ‘Break’, było wyciskające łzy ‘Mommy’ (tak, tym razem też pociekły mi łzy ^^), czy świetnego ‘Please’, nowością dla niektórych mógł być utwór ‘All I Need From You’, który Selah wykonała na bis. Pojawił się również cover ‘Oops, Oh My’, który czarował od pierwszych dźwięków wydobytych z jej gardła! 
Setlista zawierała 17 utworów, niestety ze względu na problemy z gardłem, które ostatnimi czasy nie ma chwili wytchnienia, nie udało się jej zaśpiewać wszystkiego. 

         Oszałamiające owacje brzmiały jeszcze na długo po zejściu artystki ze sceny. Tego wieczoru głos Selah Sue zatrząsnął posadami Eteru, jak i całego Wrocławia!                                  

         Zgodnie z wcześniejszymi planami, odbyło się podpisywanie płyt. Sanne jest przesympatyczną osobą i nie jest to wyimaginowane stwierdzenie. Gwiazdorzenie jest jej zdecydowanie obce, jest niezwykle ciepłą osobą, otwartą. Chętnie rozmawiała z fanami, choć niektórzy byli pod wpływem tak silnych emocji, że jedyne co z siebie wykrzesali, to bardzo wymowne ‘It was amazing!’. Po zamienieniu z nią kilku słów i nawet małym żarcie, jeszcze zanim opuściła miejsce gdzie czekała na nią spora grupa fanów z płytami i plakatami, już chciałoby się krzyczeć ‘Wróć do nas szybko!’.                                   

                      

         Ze sceny pożegnała się z nami mówiąc jedynie ‘Bye, bye! Hope to see you soon!’. Teraz pozostało tylko czekać aż to ‘soon’ nadejdzie. Ja osobiście nie mogę się już doczekać, tym bardziej że kolejna trasa będzie promowała już nową płytę, którą Selah Sue zaczyna nagrywać już w styczniu! Poczekajmy cierpliwie na efekty jej pracy!                           
                                                                                    

         Nie mogę powiedzieć, że był to mój najlepszy koncert w tym roku! Był najlepszy, ale na równi z tym marcowym! Może to tylko dwa koncerty, albo aż dwa, ale jedno jest pewne!
SELAH SUE oczarowała mnie nie tylko swoim głosem, ale i nietuzinkową osobowością i na dobre zagościła w sercach Polaków, mam nadzieję, że z wzajemnością!
